There are numerous resorts and spas in Finnskogen that are easily reached with international flights to Oslo Gardermoen Airport, Train to Kongsvinger on the Norwegian side and train, bus or air transport to Torsby on the Swedish side.

Finnskogtoppen

In the county of Grue you will find the Finnskogmuseum at Svullrya and the beautiful lake areas surrounding this small village town. Just on the border area to Sweden situated on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful lake area of Røgden is Finnskogtoppen Spa and Hotel.

Matilla

Crossing the border and turning eastward towards Bjurberget, some 7 km you will find the resort of Matilla. Located on a hill it includes numerous cottages that can be rented by the day or longer stays. Anttila

We drive now for some 35 km south east to the Village of Nyskoga where we find Anttila a resort that sits on a height overlooking much of northeastern Varmland. Here you will find a large collection of traditional cottages that have been assembled here from many of the original finnsih settlements of Finnskogen. Popular activities here includes snowmobile safaris, moose hunting and the annual Winter Motor Rally. In the summer one can enjoy the beautiful prisitine lakes with island surrounded by fine sand.
